Pengertian Adjective
Adjective yaitu kata sifat, yaitu kata yang dipakai untuk memperlihatkan sifat pada suatu benda atau suatu hal.
Cara Penggunaan Adjective
Ada 2 (dua) macam cara penggunaan kata sifat / adjective dalam bahasa Inggris yaitu attribute adjective dan predicate adjective.
Attribute Adjective (Kata Sifat Pelengkap)
Adalah kata sifat yang dipakai untuk menandakan kata benda secara langsung.
Contohnya :
Beautiful girl = gadis cantik
Big house = rumah besar
Predicate Adjective (Kata Sifat Predikat)
Adalah kata sifat yang dipakai untuk menandakan kata benda (noun) secara tidak langsung.
Contohnya :
I am happy = saya bahagia
She is lazy = ia malas
Dalam pelajaran tata bahasa Inggris, adjective atau kata sifat ini dikategorikan menjadi majemuk kelompok, yaitu:

Kata sifat diskriptif atau descriptive adjective yaitu kata-kata yang menggambarkan keadaan atau sifat seseorang, binatang atau benda yang mencakup ukuran, takaran, berat, bau, rasa, warna dan sebagainya.

NUMERAL ADJECTIVE
Numeral adjective (kata sifat bilangan) yaitu kata sifat yang menandakan bilangan atau memperlihatkan banyaknya suatu benda secara pasti.
Dalam Bahasa Inggris “Numeral Adjective” terbagi atas 3 (tiga) golongan, yaitu :
- Cardinal Number (Bilangan Biasa)
- Ordinal Number (Bilangan Bertingkat)
- Fraction (Bilangan Pecahan)
Cardinal Number (Bilangan Biasa)
